23rd State Conference of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (Gope) Concludes

The 23rd State Conference of Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (Gope) representing Bihar Government employees and contractual-outsourced employees working in Government departments was held with great enthusiasm on 10–12 April 2025 at Town Hall, Buxar. The conference venue was dedicated to the militant comrade Krishna Prasad of Buxar District Federation, the Hall to the former State Secretary of the Federation, comrade Ramsevak Singh and the conference stage to the former District Secretary of Buxar, comrade Mohammad Kalam.

The conference began with a march of hundreds of employees on the main road of the city. After the march, the flag of the conference was hoisted by the State President of the Federation, comrade Niranjan Kumar Sinha and floral tributes were paid at the martyr altar by the guests, office bearers and delegates-observers present.

After this, the open session of the conference began and was presided by three-member presidium. The presidium comprised comrades Niranjan Kumar Sinha (President), Nagendra Singh and Syed Mohd. Najmi (Vice Presidents).

The open session of the conference was inaugurated by comrade Rajiv Dimri, General Secretary of All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU).

Speaking about the current situation particularly the attacks on the working people by the Modi government, he called upon all sections of toiling people to unitedly make the all-India general strike on May 20, called by platform of 10 central trade unions, a resounding success.

The session was addressed, among others, by the chief guest, CPI (ML) MP comrade Sudama Prasad;CPI (ML) MLA comrade Ajit Kumar Singh; General Secretary of All India Scheme Workers Federation(AISWF) and CPI (ML) MLC Com. Shashi Yadav.

After the end of the open session and a short break, the delegate session of the conference began with 160delegates. The session was inaugurated by comrade Dhirendra Jha, General Secretary of All India Agricultural and Rural Labourers' Association (AIARLA) and Polit Bureau Member of CPI (ML). On this occasion, he underlined the need to intensify the movement of various sections of employees particularly the outsourced-contract-honorarium to counter the attacks of fascist Modi regime in a befitting manner. The inaugural speech was followed by the presidential speech, general secretary's report and treasurer’s report. After a thorough discussion by delegates and clarifications by the general secretary Prem Chand Kumar Sinha and treasurer Nitesh Anand, both the reports were passed unanimously.

The conference passed resolutions condemning the genocide of the Palestinian people by Israel, under the patronage of imperialist America; make the All India Strike on 20 May, 25 a big success in state of Bihar with strong demonstrations at the district headquarters on that day; intensify the struggle on various burning demands, including the restoration of the old pension scheme; and launch a campaign to expose the ruling criminal-mafia-police nexus patronized by the state government in Bihar.

In the end, the conference elected the committee of the federation with Comrades Mahendra Rai as Chief Patron, Rambali Prasad as Honorary President Niranjan Kumar Sinha as President, Prem Chand Kumar Sinha as General Secretary and Nitesh Anand as Treasurer.
